Role: Senior Ecologist
Contract Length: Until 02/04/2027
Location: York, Leeds, Newcastle or Doncaster – 3 days onsite however there will be travel so this will be counted as days onsite

Pay Rate to Candidate: £385 PER DAY – umbrella


Role: A senior ecologist is required to survey ecosystems and assess the diversity, profusion and behaviours of the different organisms within them.

·         Conduct field studies, collecting biological information

·         Carry out taxonomy, classifications of organisms, applying sampling strategies and employing a range of habitat survey techniques

·         Using specialist software programs, aerial photography and maps to assess environmental impact; analysing the data.

·         Working on habitat management and creation, writing reports and issuing recommendations

·         Liaising with and advising, site managers, engineers, planners and others associated with a survey building relationships with stakeholders

·         Keeping up to date with new environmental policies and legislation, contributing ideas about changes based on ecological findings.

 

Requirements:

·         Full/associate/graduate membership of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) (depending on experience/or working towards

·         GREEN SKILLS/ SUSTAINABILITY| - Sustainability Management

·         Able to work across Senior management and front line staff

·         Confident and adaptable

·         Able to cover a wide breadth of topics within the field

·         Able to collaborate and influence successfully

·         Full, clean UK driving licence
